The agency in charge of subway, buses, trains, bridges and tunnels has changed the way it holds public meetings. In September, the MTA Board voted to reduce the number of public meetings and committee meetings from 11 to 8. 2 Chairman’s Forums have been added, but not yet scheduled.
The new forums will offer a questions and answers from MTA staff and leaders. At public meetings, citizens can sign up to address the board.
The agency believes the new schedule is a more efficient use of staff and resources and will better serve the public. The next series of committee and board meetings is the week of March 11.
