Manhattan, NY – So many of us are sometimes too busy to take the time to eat healthy but now a fresh app on your smartphone is making  it that much easier for you to eat healthier and get skinnier at the same time!

Anita Jones-Mueller is a nutritionist who founded  “It can be really hard to know how calories add up, how sodium adds up when you’re eating out and that’s what healthy dining is all about.  Our team of registered dieticians work with 50,000 restaurants nationwide and go through the menus to find healthier options.”

The restaurants range from fast food, like Blimpie’s, to upscale, like The Capital Grille. has a companion application for your smartphone called YumPower.  Its free to download.   The cool part the app is that you can search for healthy food based on certain criteria like ‘calorie wise’ or sodium savvy’ or ‘kids live well.’

If calories matter most to you, then you select ‘calorie wise’ and the app will find a meal nearest you that has 500 calories or less.  If you are trying to watch your sodium intake, then select ‘sodium savvy’ and the app will find food with 750 milligrams of sodium or less.

“We just want to make it easy for you to find menu items that are good for you, taste great and are low in calories, low in fat and meet your nutrition needs,” said Jones-Mueller.
