Drivers stay with their trapped cars in Suffolk snow drifts; 1 person treated for hypothermia

It was a surreal scene in Lake Grove, Suffolk County, Saturday afternoon with dozens of cars still trapped in the snow by the epic blizzard that left more than 30 inches across much of eastern Long Island.

Many drivers where these photos were taken, on Highway 347 in Lake Grove, stayed with their cars.  One driver was hospitalized for hypothermia, and many others were taken to a nearby warming center.
