BRONX, NEW YORK (PIX11 –  A city landmark and centerpiece of the Bronx may get sold.

The United States postal service is considering selling the Bronx General Post Office on Grand Concourse and relocating it to a smaller lease space.

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz says the closure of the facility is unacceptable.

The historic site has been around for 75 years and has an art gallery.
