Rihanna is finally opening up about her recent reconciliation with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
In a candid interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the pop star said moving forward and getting back with Chris was more about her being happy than anything else.
“I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake.” RiRi told Rolling Stone. “After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”
Next month marks four years since Brown brutally assaulted the singer after a pre-Grammy Award event. Breezy is still serving probation for the attack.
Rihanna also admits that everything is different now saying, “We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”
The singer adds, that Brown doesn’t having the luxury of messing up again.
“I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility,” she said.
