NEW YORK CITY, (PIX11)– The former New York City mayor is back home after a scary stay in the hospital. Ed Koch was released from Columbia-Presbyterian Saturday afternoon. The 88-year-old was admitted last Saturday with fluid in his lungs and swollen ankles. Doctors told the Koch to cut back on the salt. He says he’s going to rest up on Sunday, but it’s back to work on Monday. This is the third time Koch has been in the hospital in recent months. In December he was admitted with a respiratory infection. In September the former mayor was admitted with anemia.
