STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK (PIX11) – Twenty local charities donated more than 1,000 children’s coats, shirts, pants and other much needed clothing to residents living on Staten Island. The coat drive was sponsored by Kars 4 Kids. The organization enlisted the help of local churches and non-profits to make the day possible. Some residents say they lost everything and are having a hard time buying the essentials with little to no money.
