Long Island school briefly on lockdown over unfounded report of student with gun

692x384_Carousel_DevelopingNews A Long Island high school is no longer on lockdown after a report that a student was carrying a gun was discovered to be unfounded.

Police investigated the anonymous report of a student with a gun at George W. Hewlett High School and then have the all-clear, a spokesman for the Helwett-Woodmere school district told Newsday. The school was on lockdown for about 45 minutes.
