Swap textbooks for tablets, proposes possible NYC mayoral candidate Christine Quinn

Possible mayoral candidate Christine Quinn has laid out a set of proposals for improving the city’s school.

One of them involves replacing textbooks with computer tablets.

The City Council speaker said technology has changed what we need to teach,  and it’s also changed  how we need to teach.

She said the $100 million  spent on textbooks every year by the school system would be enough to buy tablets for  every student.
