Animal ambassadors from SeaWorld and Busch Gardens took over the PIX11 Morning News studio this morning.  A pair of penguins named Penny and Pete waddled about exploring the news set.  Meanwhile. PIX11 Morning News co-anchors Sukanya Krishnan and Frances Rivera were startled when a Barn Owl spread its wings just a foot away from the ladies.  After learning that a family of owls can consume up to a 1,000 rodents, Rivera suggested that the City of New York adopt a few of these useful creatures.  Other animals visiting the show included a Red Ruffed Lemur and an Opossum.

The folks at SeaWorld are currently putting the finishing touches on the brand new attraction Antartica – Empire of the Penguin which opens this spring and will be its biggest attraction ever.  To learn more about Antartica – Empire of the Penguin go to http://seaworldparks.com/seaworld-orlando/Antarctica
