OLD BRIDGE, New Jersey (PIX11) – A yellow school bus overturned on a New Jersey street Thursday after it collided with a private bus.

The incident happened along Route 9 near Arcade Lane at about 8:30 a.m. in Old Bridge, officials said.

No children were aboard the bus. Most of the injuries were on the charter bus, with a total of 17 passengers injured in the collision. The Academy bus driver, Daniel Jean-Pierre, of Barnegat, was the most seriously hurt. He was in surgery after sustaining injuries to his legs at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital
