Four college students from Florida showed some holiday spirit to the victims of Hurricane Sandy at Belle Harbor beach Monday.

They capped off 8 days of volunteer work by painting a temporary fence at the end of Beach 131st Street.

It was the  second trip for one of them.

Allison Rodgers came to help out on Thanksgiving.

This time she recruited three of her friends to come.

Rodgers and her classmates  took a 7 p.m. flight out of the city Christmas Eve to make it back home to Florida in time for Christmas.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story incorrectly reported all four students attend Florida State University. The video in this piece also contains the error.
