NEW YORK (PIX11) — There may be some big changes when New York City school children return from the holiday break.
An impending school bus strike would force more than 150,000 students to find a new way to get to school.
According to Mayor Michael Bloomberg, it is impossible for union drivers to get job security despite any contract changes. City Comptroller John Liu and many other officials are furious with Bloomberg.
If there is a strike, the city plans to provide Metro Cards for families as well as reimburse those, who have to drive their children to school.
