PIX11, on Thursday brought you a story about a daycare on the Lower East Side that was damaged by Hurricane Sandy.

The Virginia Daycare Nursery, located in the Jacob Riis Houses, was completely flooded by Sandy. The classrooms were under three feet of water. The cost for clean-up was going to be $300,000,000.  Too much for them, and they did not qualify for FEMA assistance.

After the story aired, FEMA called the daycare and said they would take another look into their case.
