While the children of Newtown returned to school this morning, the parents of 6-year-old James Mattioli were getting ready to put him in an early grave.
The grownups who knew him said James was a curious kid, filled with questions about anything and everything from how to groom horses to how to improve his reading skills.
Kames was still at the stage where he loved to cuddle with his mom. he was described as the spitting image of his dad, a mini-me.
James’ family says he served as an alarm clock. by the time he would wake the family, he’d already been up, dressed and ready to start the day.
The Mattioli family would probably give anything to have had James do that this morning.
Mourners also remembered 6 year old Jessica Rekos today. Her parents called her the CEO of the family.
Jessica loved writing–she would leave little “i love you” notes all over the house. She also loved horseback riding.
