“He came into my office,” said the clearly shaken nurse from Sandy Hook Elementary School, scene of the worst shooting massacre at an elementary or high school in the nation’s history.

Sarah Cox was crouched beneath her desk after hearing popping sounds inside the school, when the suspected shooter Adam Lanza walked in.  “I just had a creepy feeling, I just had that creepy feeling.”

Nurse Sarah Cox avoided the killer by hiding under her computer desk, then huddling with the secretary in the closet

Cox says Lanza didn’t see her, “I was under my computer desk, I saw his legs.”  Lanza said nothing, then turned and walked out of the room.

Cox heard five more shots before locking herself into a closet with the school secretary to wait for the shooting to end.

The shooter killed twenty-seven people died Friday morning, many of them young children.  Lanza is believed to have taken his own life at the scene.  Police picked up Lanza’s brother, Ryan, as well as two other people from Hoboken, New Jersey, for questioning.
