DNA tests will be done on what are believed to be the remains of Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera. Her plane went down outside Monterrey early Sunday.
Six others, including two pilots, also were on-board. Civil aviation officials say no one on-board the aircraft survived.
Transportation officials say the plane plunged almost vertically from more than 28,000 feet and hit the ground in a nose-dive at more than 600 miles per hour. They also say the pilot had a valid license that would have expired in January.
Rivera was born in Long Beach, California and released her first album in 1999. She was 43-years-old.
