A group of pups is wailing in the absence of their little brother, Blackie, a 7-week-old English Bulldog who was snatched Monday night right out of his crate.
After the theft of the adorable 6-pounder, the owners of the popular pet store The Aquarium at Route 4 in Elmwood Park, NJ let us in on a little secret. The whole thing was caught on surveillance cameras.
And by the looks of it, the puppy stealer and his accomplice had no idea.
“You see it so clearly. They have no idea. I believe they didn’t because the man literally looks right at the camera,” co-store owner Jamie Timpon said.
The video is getting sent to police. It shows how the crook picked up Blackie then walked to the back of the store, and chucked him out the window to later retrieve him.
The price-tag for Blackie, by the way, is $3,500. The thief may not have paid cash, but toward the end of the video, you see a marsupial did make him pay in a different way by taking a chunk out of his hand when he tries to keep his stealing spree going.
But the bite wasn’t enough to save Blackie. There’s currently a $1,000 reward for the return of the beloved pet.
