A 57-year-old man was stabbed outside a mosque in Queens, 5 a.m. Sunday morning. Police are now launching an investigation as a possible hate crime.
Investigators are looking into the attack that happened in front of Masjid-al-Saaliheen on Kissena Boulevard in Flushing, Queens.
The victim was about to walk in when he was confronted from behind and stabbed multiple times in the torso.
Police believe the suspect, is in his 40’s, yelled anti-muslim and anti-semitic slurs when he approached the victim. The victim was taken to Queens General Hospital and is in stable condition. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
